Átila Passos

Brazilian psychoanalysts residing in Spain with clinical backgrounds and experience in the areas of human resources and law, working in Europe.

Who we work with

We work with Brazilians and people from around the world who are in the process of relocating, offering support in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, and Finnish.

How we work

Sessions are available both online, and in person in Madrid and Málaga–Marbella.

We offer flexible hours tailored to your time zone.

Our approach

You have the floor — and the language as well.

We listen closely to your story, helping you navigate and shape your own path.

Our clinic provides a dedicated space to develop creative responses to the challenges of life abroad — from cultural adaptation, homesickness, and loneliness to exile, and the complexities of family and work relationships.

  • Hello, my name is Sandra Hermoso. I am a psychologist (CRP06/254070) and Lacanian psychoanalyst with over 15 years of clinical experience. I am a member and professor at IPLA - Instituto da Psicanálise Lacaniana (Lacanian Psychoanalysis Institute), chaired by Dr Jorge Forbes in São Paulo. I have been living in Madrid for 8 years and have extensive experience in supporting Brazilian expatriates and their families in various countries.

I have 30 years of experience in people management in multinational companies in Brazil and abroad. I know that living in another country is a source of great joy and discovery. But it is also a source of insecurity, uncertainty, fear and maladjustment.

It is not always (in fact, almost never!) a simple process. That is why I decided to expand my corporate, personal and psychoanalytical experience to help people who face these issues in their daily lives. My work consists of listening and providing psychoanalytical guidance that meets the subjective uniqueness of each person. It will be a pleasure to meet you!

    You are warmly welcome here.

  • Hello, my name is Átila. I am a psychoanalyst, with a postgraduate degree in Psychoanalysis from FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, São Paulo. I continue my training at IPLA – Instituto da Psicanálise Lacaniana in São Paulo, as well as at the Instituto del Campo Freudiano de España in Málaga and Madrid.

Before dedicating myself to clinical practice, I worked for many years as an international lawyer, a career that led me to live in Europe for the last 22 years — between Finland, the Netherlands and Spain. This experience allowed me to engage with different cultures and observe how each person carries a unique history, with their own challenges and singular desires.

It was through my own analysis and contact with people from diverse backgrounds that I decided to make myself available for a listening that welcomes difference and respects singularity.

Today, I offer a space for clinical listening, guided by a genuine interest in welcoming subjective difference and enabling each person to find their own responsible way of inventing life.

Warm regards and see you soon!
